Butterfly Garden

I have stitched a shower of pretty flowers in a variety of stitches, closely worked to make a rich, precious-looking patch of shining embroidery with an applique butterfly motif in the centre. Made entirely free-style with no chart or drawing to follow, the work has an informal 'country' feel. The pretty colours work well together and would make a lovely gift when you want to celebrate a special time, or add a summery heartwarming touch to a corner of a room in your own home. Perfect for a Christmas gift too!

The frame is a lightly distressed whitened wood, measuring 8" (20cm) square and will arrive with glass in place, corded, ready to hang, with my studio stamp on the back. The mount carries the title 'Butterfly Garden' and is signed. The mount is double-depth and actual embroidery in the centre measures just 3" square (7.5cm). A very detailed and intricately worked piece of hand-stitched embroidery.
