Little Alphabet Sampler

This embroidery is based on elements found in the traditional sampler and is worked in hand-dyed threads and fabrics giving it a vintage feel. A carefully worked hand-embroidered alphabet is stitched above and below the miniature applique cottage in the centre, which is flanked by two little trees. There are embroidered details, a heart motif on the roof, and a prettily embroidered border of running stitches and French knots.

The work is in a lightly distressed whited wood frame measuring 7" (18cm) square and comes with glass in place, corded, all ready to hang. The mount carries the title 'Little Alphabet Sampler' and is signed. My studio stamp is on the back.
