Paper Patchwork

This piece of work is made using my own handmade paper which has a high cotton fibre content so that it can be stitched into place. It takes dyes well, so with the addition of silver metallic dusting here and there the whole effect is of a patchwork of shimmering colours delicately stitched into place with the textural interest of paper. Here and there I have added some little white paper hearts.
 
Please be aware that this hand-stitched textile is not framed, but comes mounted, ready to frame should you wish to do so. The mount measures 7" square (17cm) and carries the title 'Paper Patchwork' and is signed. It will arrive in clear protective sleeve with my studio label on the back.
