Pretty Patches Vintage

Miniature applique patches hand cut from genuine vintage French and English cotton prints in an array of beautiful colours with the patina only age can bring. I have designed this piece around the idea of medieval pavements where decorated tiles were laid on the diagonal. I have added a tiny applique heart to the centre of the design, cut from my own hand-dyed fabric, making it a gift bringing love for a special time such as a wedding or landmark birthday!
 
Everything is hand-stitched with tiny stitches.This unique entirely hand made embroidery would make a lasting gift to treasure, or a heart-warming addition to a corner of your own home.
 
The frame is lightly distressed whitened wood measuring 9" x 11" (23cm x 28cm)  and the embroidery will arrive with glass in place, corded, all ready to hang, with my studio stamp on the back. The mount carries the title 'Pretty Patches - vintage fabrics' and is signed.
