Robin in Flight

This design is made using a version of the embroidery technique known as 'cutwork'. In this case a heart shape has been cut out of a piece of fabric, placed over a contrasting ground fabric, then closely over-stitched round the raw edges to prevent fraying and to hold everything in place. The tiny flying robin has then been added as an applique with embroidered details. 
 
My cards come with recycled paper envelopes in clear compostable cornstarch sleeves - no plastic!  Each card is signed on the front and my studio stamp is on the back. Cards are made from stout 100% recycled card - blank inside.
